Kindergarten Math Lesson

Space Math

Standards:

• K. 3.2.1 Use words to compare objects according to length, size, weight and position.
• K. 3.2.2 Order 2 or 3 objects using measurable attributes, such as length and weight.

Materials:

• Cut outs of the different planets
• Cut outs of Space ships
• Blank construction paper
• Crayons
• Glue

Plan:

• Students will sort the planets and spaceships
• Next, students will arrange planets from smallest to largest / largest to smallest / in order of displayed picture 
• Students will then draw a picture similar to the picture shown above of the solar system
• Students will be able to color their spaceship however they want
