Dr. Seuss is always a fun read along author or story to use for the students. Through this book I hope the students continue to develop a better understanding of space throughout out space unit. This book will lead into a fantastic vocabulary activity the students will really enjoy as it involves fun space themed words.
The above vocab words with accompanying pictures will be converted into this fun "rocket book". I would edit the "rocket book" to have an area where the students practice writing the space themed vocab words.
This Vocab unit will provide:
- Listening vocabulary from hearing the book read aloud.
- Visualized vocabulary from being able to see the words printed with pictures.
- Writing vocabulary by providing the students the opportunity to write out the vocab words.
- Speaking vocabulary by sounding out the words and saying them aloud.
